ARCANE

Is an invitation to delve into the mysterious realm of the unseen, exploring the subtle energies that fuel our creativity and shape our understanding of the world. Through a selection of artworks that blur the boundaries between figuration and abstraction, we examine the intricate relationships between the seen and unseen aspects of reality.

Some pieces feature recognizable forms imbued with symbolic meanings, while others opt for pure abstraction, harnessing colour, texture, and composition to evoke the dynamic flow of what we can name “Life-force”.

The resulting tension between representation and interpretation invites introspection into the nature of human perception and its role in shaping our understanding of existence.

The inclusion of abstract formulas in the paintings aims to add another layer of depth to the artworks, highlighting the interconnectedness of the elements (air, water, fire, earth) and their involvement in the larger cosmic dance. The use of dark and light colours in the artwork represents the duality of existence, where opposing forces are complementary and necessary for balance and harmony. Just as the universe is composed of both matter and antimatter, light and darkness, so too do these opposites coexist and interact in the natural world.

Arete 2021

Arête referring to excellence is more than just a concept. It is something that we as individuals should strive for, in all aspects of life. We have been confined by our limitations, especially when we are exercising the freedom to create, express and reflect on both internal thoughts and external life experiences.

Overture 2020

Waves of colours, symbols, letters and numbers mixed with abstract designs to express that inner dialogue. Where the nature of thought is transformed into a physical form, expressed through the use of Sgraffito combined with line work, colours and textures.

Searching for meaning in the minor and the overlooked details, he works on shifting the focus between the intangibles while searching for links between both Emotion and Perception, as they unfold during the process of materialization.
